Elmer Ambulance has Six (6) Members Enrolled in EMT Class

We are proud to announce that EAC has six members attending this year's Salem County EMT Course. This is more than any other squad in the county. Please help us wish these six members success in their training.

Rescue Tool Donated by Monroeville Vol. Fire Co.

In the fall of 2007, Monroeville Volunteer Fire Co.approached the Corps about purchasing a rescue tool that would be small enough to be placed on the primary ambulance. Therefore, if the squad should be short on man-power or if the situation were dire, the Fire Company would have a tool and they could perform or at least start any extrication while Corps EMTs focuses on patient care.

Monroeville generously purchased a battery powered Genesis combination cutter/spreader tool, for use in light extrication and door-pops.  In addition, they generously agreed that the tool can be used by any Extrication Certified Firefighter in the five fire districts that the Corps serves.

The Corps is currently scheduling trainings that will certify firefighters and squad members to Extrication Technician level.  This training is being planned for the spring months when the weather is more suitable to spending extended periods of time outdoors practicing hands-on training with the new tool.

The Corps extends it's greatest appreciation to Monroeville Vol. Fire Co. for their continued support of our organization and to the community in which we serve together.
